Apple has been reported to be talking to the government of Zimbabwe to be able to bring solar-powered iPad to rural schools in the country.
Supervised by the Zimbabwean ministry of Education, Sports, Arts and Culture, the merger will soon be able to hand over iPad units that can be charged through solar panels to students that are studying in rural areas around the country.
This plan is obviously to improve the level of education on remote schools. I think it’s a nice thing that Apple, whose known to steer clear of charity programs is now doing something to help the less fortunate countries.

It seems like the demand for the iPhone 4S is far from reaching its peak as Apple has now put up the unit as a “Reservation only” product. This means that you just can’t walk-in on an Apple store to get one but rather you need to reserve your device at least a day in advance.
On Apple’s website it reads: “iPhone 4S is available in store by reservation only. Reserve yours after 9:00 p.m. tonight for pickup tomorrow. When you come in, you’ll choose a carrier and plan, and we’ll get your iPhone up and running before you leave the store.”
I just hope Apple catches up to the demand real soon.
